Perspectives on the World Christian Movement

A 12 week course to raise missions awareness, developing a clearer perspective of God’s Global Mission in the world today. Available world wide. (Many Bible Colleges run this as part of their curriculum.)

INTERNATIONAL TEAMS training courses

Various courses are available through International Teams. Eg: Short term mission team and team leader training – facilitating and training churches to run short term mission trips well; Justice and Transformation workshops for those interested in social justice issues.
ITeams focuses on ministry to the marginalised such as refugees, ethnic minorities, and economically disadvantaged, in 50 countries.

WYCLIFFE training events

PROBE: A week (5 days)of hands-on experience investigating what is involved in cross-cultural ministry and Bible translation.
XPLORE TRANSLATION: A SINGLE DAY of hands-on experience investigating culture and Bible translation
BIBLE STORYTELLING SEMINARS: These seminars will help you harness the power of stories and reach people in a new, vibrant way. Bible storytelling is a skill that will help ordinary Christians in three ways: evangelism, biblical knowledge and disciple making. Various lengths, various locations.

STINT (Short Term Intercultural Nationwide Training)

Is your church involved Short Term Mission Trips? This is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss. Anyone leading a mission trip should do the STINT course before they go. This will not only ensure your team travels safer, but it will make their trip more meaningful for the team and also for the people they minister to. Distance Package also available for individuals and groups.

INTERCULTURAL TRAINING AUSTRALIA – TESOL Training for Missions

ITA are based in Brisbane but also run TESOL Courses in other parts of Australia. A team of qualified trainers has experience in both TESOL and working cross-culturally. Their courses were developed out of a desire to incorporate best practice in the TESOL industry whilst fostering ministry. Their courses are all government accredited as Certificate IV level.

INTERMED Summer Schools in Medical Mission

INTERMED provide a unique 3 or 4 week intensive Introduction to International Health & Development course for Christian health professionals in Jan/Feb each year. It is usually conducted at Tabor College Adelaide for Christian Health Care Professionals who are preparing to work in less developed/ less resourced contexts in the world, or who are on leave from such work.
