This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a vision to further develop a young but well established organisation. Established in 2005, Second Wind Network exists to assist Australian believers in their 40s and over use their life and career skills to share their faith in cross-cultural mission. SWN has become an established member of the Australian missions scene, partnering with approximately 30 diverse, reputable mission agencies to provide pathways into mission involvement. We offer a unique on-line matching service with these organisations to facilitate people to find their place in mission in Australia or overseas and much of our work is web-based. KEY REQUIREMENTS Experienced in leadership Visionary and innovative Sound appreciation of the need for cross-cultural Christian mission Passionate about mission and mobilising people over 40 for cross-cultural Kingdom work Able to work independently and bring your own ideas and initiatives to the ministry Strong relationship building, networking and organisational skills Excellent communication skills (English) Fully committed to SWN?s vision, mission, core values and Statement of Faith DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS Embracing of new technology and willing to learn Team building skills Familiarity with website design and Content Management Systems MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Provide vision and direction to the ministry in consultation with the Board. Oversee development of SWN in a changing technological environment Work with current mission agency Partners and develop new Partnerships to assure ongoing pathways into mission for our enquirers Maintain and develop channels of communication (website, social media, face-to-face, etc) to ensure our target demographic is well informed of needs and opportunities in mission. Ensure that the online matching service and interactive website function effectively. Ensure that day to day management and administration are successfully achieved. The time commitment is flexible (3-4 days per week), depending on your skills and experience, and ability to raise up a team to work with you. A Board exists to support and encourage the successful candidate(s).
