How to Register YOUR Personal Profile

Second Wind is committed to helping you investigate second-career opportunities in mission without fear of pressure or sales tactics. You can start the process of investigating a significant opportunity in missions by registering your personal profile and discovering your "best fit" with our partner mission agencies.

Second Wind partner agencies have many opportunities and they are always changing. Completing the Personal Profile Form will enable you to connect with Mission Agencies with offices in Australia, offering opportunities specifically of interest to you. If you are not from Australia click here.
By selecting the Register Profile you can complete a form that will provide information that will be matched against similar categories already entered by the agencies. A list of best fit agencies will be generated for you and an easy way to contact them on-line provided. This will help you gather information on a wide array of second-career options that fit your gifts and preferences.

You can then also carry out searches for specific agencies which meet particular criteria of your choice, such as "Find Agencies which host Vision Trips", or which work in particular regions of the world.

There is no fee to lodge a profile. You simply enter information about your life-situation and, if married, the name and preferences of your spouse. After submitting your profile, you will be able to view your agency matches. The options for each matching mission agency will be in accordance with your serving and ministry preferences. We suggest that you investigate those agencies that receive the highest match rating and contact those that interest you most.

The matching agencies will be ranked in terms of percent fit based on 5 criteria:

Time Commitment
Region(s) of the World
Languages Spoken
Ministry Preferences
Spouse's Ministry Preferences (if married)

Additionally, Second Wind's partnering agencies will be able to view your completed profile for a possible match with their ministry positions.

If you do NOT wish your profile to be available to Mission Agencies, select NO for the Privacy Agreement checkbox in the form. (See our Privacy statement ). You may change your decision later from your password protected personal account options area. You will still be able to view your matches with Mission Agencies, but they will be unable to view your data or contact you.

Here's the process:

Fill in the form as best you can. Except for certain required fields, you will be able to come back later, and edit sections which you may need to leave blank the first time round.
After all sections of the form are completed to the best of your ability, click the "Register Profile" button. You will then be able to view matches with specific mission agencies that can connect you with interesting ministry opportunities from all around the world.
If you wish to make changes to a section after you have moved onto a new section, it is best if you complete and register the whole profile first, then log on to your Personal Options page. Here you will be able to edit any sections of your profile at any time.
Partner Mission Agencies will also be able to view your profile on line (only if you select YES for the Privacy Agreement) and may contact you directly depending on how your profile matches their selection criteria. (See our Privacy statement )
If you use the wrong Username or Password when you log on to your Personal Options page, you will be prompted for the correct ones, or else directed to contact Second Wind Network for assistance.

You are always in control. If you begin to explore your options with some agencies and decide that you would like "to suspend" or "stop the process", you can fill out our special Suspend or Stop the Process form and hit "send".
